DESCRIPTION

Antique Victorian inlaid wood trivet base. English inlaid exotic wood folding base which would hold a tray of nibbles on a table. Moorish style which was popular in North Africa for centuries became vogue in the late 19th early 20th century in England with the interference in the Suez canal incident. This dates from this period and was previously the property of Kirk Douglas estate.

A fabulous addition to your exotic wood collection or vintage home decor. A great housewarming gift or early holiday gift idea.

Base measures a 8" tall by 8" deep by 8" wide (3.5" folded) and weighs 1lb 2oz.

CONDITION

It is complete and is in nice physical condition considering the age and use one of the pieces has a small wedge out of the bottom - (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
