Antique Ammunition Box 1920s Military English Leather Carrying Case Monkey Keg
DESCRIPTION
Antique leather and canvas English powder keg dating to the early 20th C. Leather bound elongated bucket lined internally with canvas this piece was used by the British military to carry shells, cannon ball or cordite around a battery. This bucket retains its carrying handle at the top although it has split. This was made for the army as there are no Naval marks. The Royal British coat of arms is still evident on the front.
MEASUREMENTS
Antique ammunition carrier measures 12" wide by 12" long by 14.5" tall and weighs 8lbs 8oz.
CONDITION
In good used working condition with signs of use commensurate with age with thw carrying handle split and with previous repairs(please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
